From September 17th to 21st takes place the Campus Party at Quito, Ecuador, one of the most important technological fairs. In the event the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE) and Movistar are using IN Switch’s platform MTS, to show how the mobile money works in real life, by installing a pilot of the system with machines to do the cash-in and buy goods.

The manager of BCE, Mateo Villalba, performed the first m-money transaction with success, and also the vice-president of Ecuador, Jorge Glas, experienced the system.

In addition to being part of the pilot, IN Switch also participates in the conferences where our CCO, Liber Fernandez, will be talking about the uses of mobile money in Ecuador and in other experiences in the region. The conference is today at 17hs (UTC/GMT -5 hours) and can be watched on-line through http://campuse.ro/social/resource/62594/view.cp with a simple registration. Mobile money is having great repercussion among the fair’s activities, capturing all media attention.
