The mobile wallet tuapp has been recently relaunched, as an open mobile application, which is available to all users of financial services and all subscribers of mobile operators of Uruguay.
The project is led by the the state telecommunications company ANTEL and the Bank of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay BROU, whose users can now link their accounts to tuapp (the rest of the banks have already agreed on their integration and will be enabled shortly).
tuapp uses our MTS platform, world-class technology specialized in mobile financial services.
Andrés Tolosa, President of ANTEL, highlighted in his speech: “To Inswitch, we would also like to thank them for their work, because state-of-the-art technological work is required to develop this application, which on the one hand has to be very simple in usability and on the other hand has to rely on cutting-edge technology in terms of safety, in terms of connectivity with different financial and telecommunications platforms.”

With this relaunch, the main novelty is the possibility to make money transfers between people using the mobile contacts without the need to know the account numbers.
Currently tuapp has more than 180,000 users and various features, such as payment at stores with QR, money pool, official games and bets, mobile top-ups with all the different operators nationwide; payment of taxis, parking, electronic tolls; payment of utility bills, cable television, sports clubs and health services. collections, scheduling ID cards appointments and shopping online at the automated Antel Go store are also available.
Different payment methods are already available for the wallet: BROU accounts, local credit cards, credit institutions in the country and, soon, the accounts of all of the banks in the market, anticipating the launch of multiple new services for the coming months.
At Inswitch we are very proud to be part of this project.
