Tuapp is the Uruguayan open mobile wallet of the state-owned telecommunications company ANTEL and the state-owned bank BROU, powered by our Digital Wallet solution.
In 2018, our Digital Wallet solution was selected by the Uruguayan companies ANTEL and BROU, to develop an open digital wallet branded as “tuapp”.
Tuapp is the first application in Uruguay with interoperability between mobile network operators. Thus, any user can install it regardless of the mobile phone operator he/she has.
The underlying technology allows linking each user’s account to the main means of payments of the country. Tuapp is based on an open-loop model for all Uruguayan people, so having a bank account is not mandatory.

More than 1 million subsidies have been credited to the beneficiaries’ digital wallets and redeemed at over 2,400 authorized stores nationwide.
